Last post of 2010!

Write about a time when your parents really surprised you. Did this event or situation seem out of character for your parents? Was this surprise a good one or a bad one? What was your reaction?

One day I got home from school, December 16th actually, Back to the story, I got home from the bus at 3:53 and my mom was sitting at home with all smiles on her face telling me we are not having Christmas this year! We were having Christmas on a beach in Mexico. At this I was very surprised because I could never imagine my father laying on a beach. I could never see my mother laying on a recliner with the hot Mexican sun shining down on her. She likes sun and all but I never could have imagined her sitting on a chair doing nothing for a whole week, but it seemed to happen. 


When we got to Puerto Vallarta Mexico we checked into our all-inclusive resort. We went to our room and changed into our bathing suits and cover ups and went to the beach and walked around the rest of the hour.

Most of the whole week we were there we spent on tours and walking the Banduras Bay It was a great holiday to Mexico. 

3 minute drill

The boy was enthralled with the present he was holding in his hands on the morning of Christmas. He could not believe his own eyes. He held a very large fleece blanket, with a puppy inside it. The puppy was a cocker spaniel with a black ear. The boy, Joey, had never seen a better gift then what he held. His parents never really got into the spirit of Christmas until Joey had turned 8. Then they finally realized that they needed to get into the Christmas spirit.

 They named the puppy Spark. There wasn't really any reason, but Joey really liked the name. That night, Joey went and told all his friends that he had got a new puppy and named it Spark. All of his friends came over and visited with the puppy. They were also enthralled.

 Later on, after everyone left, the puppy searched around the house. Sarky was really hungry they forgot to feed him, they did not even have any dog food. joey and his parents went to the pet store to buy some food but when they got there it ws closed.  they cheaked all around town for a place to find some food for the dog. they went home with nothing theyy did not know what to give sparky.  they went to the kitchen and found some left over meat and gave it to him.  they went to bed.

 the next morning sparky was up birght and early to go out side. nobody would  up to let him out so he went on the floor. when joey got upp and went out of his rooom he fel something wet oh no spark why did you pee on the floor. gosh mom is gonna be mad so i guess i better clean this mess up. know i regreat getting this puppy for x-mas. i guess ill take the puppy out for a walk in the park.but then he saw the girl he liked he was thinking to himself omg their she is. she walked by him and smiled at him. he was so happy after that.

2010 Memories

You are in the last month of 2010! Write about what you accomplished over the year and what you'd like to accomplish in the last month of 2010.

In the year 2010 I have accomplished going out of Canada, and flying to Mexico for New Years to be with my family. I will be hopefully accomplishing that again While there I got my hair braided by a lady that walks up and down the beach all day. I saw many things while i was there like two ladies having a cat fight in the Spanish language. 

In 2010, I have joined the Brandon Youth Soccer Association. We play weekly and sometimes training on the weekends.  During games I play on the left side defense. I have not scored but I have blocked many shots from the offensive team.







 In grade 7 I made the honor roll for my academics. That means all of my marks were above 80% for the overall grades. 

I have done many things with my friends over the year. I have gone to Minot with my cousin Andrea, also many sleepovers. In the summer I went to Oak Lake with Erin and Andrea. We went tubing the whole day. 

Within the next two weeks I would like to accomplish swimming the ocean with my brother and zip lining in the Dominican Republic. I also hope to get something to remind myself I was there, like a sunburn.

                WARM JACKETS FOR COLD DAYS. !

      Has it ever been a cold day and you have to grab your family and huddle in a cave?

                       We have all done it. Don't deny it! 

   Just because it it cold doesn't mean you have to stop what you are doing and cuddle in a cave.

                    Make some warm jackets for cold days.

   First thing you need to do is catch some kind of animal with warm fur, hide, or blubber. 

       Next is that you need to, skin the animals and dry its hide on the line. Keep the extra body parts that you would want to use for any other creations.

If you need any other kind of material you don't own, find a substitution. 



An example of hides of animals they should use.

      You then, find a part of the hide you would want to start at, and continue on weaving a vine or a long strand of hair through the hide to make seams to hold the jacket together and also to keep the  cold air, wind and snow off of your body . 

    And There is the steps to making a warn jacket so you can continue your hard working duties. !

            

FANCY FIRE TOOLS. !
                                               Are you tired of making fires
                                               in boredom?                   

        Start to use some fancy fire tools. 

      Some of those tools include…

                                 1.   Lightening– During a storm it hits

                                 the ground and creates a spark that 

                                  they make into a fire.
 

      2.   Fire Rocks– Findings of sedimentary 
      rocks were used to stroke together 
      causing more sparks and more fire.

Stroking rocks they used to sometimes start fires.

           3.   Fire Sticks– Round sticks were 
           found also used to rub or grind 
           together to cause fire to start.

 The Neanderthals used fire tools to make fire but more importantly they used the fire for warmth, to cook their food and lastly to scare off the wild animals that hang around the villages.
